NavBars

This page has both a vertical and a horizontal NavBar so that you can choose which one you prefer. Normally you won’t want both, so open the page in your page editor and delete the NavBar that you don’t want.

The text in this column is controlled by the style .leftcoltext. It is padded by 15 pixels to the left and 10 to the right, but uses the same font as the main body text at a slightly smaller size.

Paragraph Heading

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam

The Generic Layout

These ‘generic’ layouts are designed so that they can be used with virtually any of the different Webstyle themes. You can replace the NavBars, headings, buttons, bullets, etc. with those from most of the themes that you’ll find under ThemeSets on the Webstyle Start screen. To replace the graphics, open the page in Webstyle and click each of the graphics in turn to edit them. While editing a graphic, choose the Designs button to select an alternative design for it. Note that once you’ve changed the design of graphics on the page in this way, you won’t be able to change the colors of those graphics along with the page colors. Instead, you’ll have to change the colors by editing each graphic individually.

This text is in a style called Heading 1

The main 'normal' style for this page has been defined with the following attributes:

The font is defined as "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif". This means the Arial font will be a browser's primary font choice. If Arial is not installed the browser will display Helvetica or a sans-serif font.

The font size is defined to be 9pt
The page background color is defined as #ffffff, white although this can be altered in Webstyle.

The above Paragraph Heading is a Webstyle editable graphic, and can be substituted with graphics from other themes.

Bulleted Lists

The bulleted list below is defined using the <ul> Unordered List tag. The easiest way to replace the bullet graphic with a different design is to overwrite the graphic once you have saved your page. So create your page using Webstyle and save it with a name of your choice. Then create a new bullet graphic in Webstyle using your chosen design and save it over the top of the bullet graphic used in the page. For example if your page is called Page1, the bullet graphic will be named Page1_files\Page1_bullet.gif, so save your new bullet into the Page1_files folder with the name Page1_bullet.gif.

  • This is a bullet item
  • This is another bullet item
  • Bullet lists do not have added space above or below
  • To create a blank space above or below enter a blank line

The styles

The styles used in this web page have been defined so things act a you'd expect, in a predictable, word-processor like manner. If you press return it just moves to the next line and doesn't create an uncontrollable space above or below. To start a new paragraph then press Return twice.

The Links:

The link, visited link and mouse-over link color are also defined to be in keeping with the Theme colors of this page.

This paragraph is indented using the Text Indent button. In order to make indents work more like a word processor and to provide more spacing control, indents do not have added space above or below the paragraph. If you want to add a blank line, then press return twice.
